13 recipes to eat your way through fall

13 recipes to eat your way through fall

One of the many reasons to love fall is the cooking and eating opportunities. Let's be honest: eating is pretty much my main method of celebrating most seasons and occasions, but fall is a bit special.

All summer long, where I live it's often too hot to cook. Turning on the oven sounds like a terrible idea. It's barbeque season, baby. Throw a salad together for bonus points.

But secretly, I miss it. Give me a simmering pot or a pan of something cheese-based waiting patiently in the oven. It's comfort food season, and the perfect time to try new recipes or pull out the tried & true classics.

Here are 13 recipes on my list to try this fall. Let's start savoury and move into sweets towards the end. I have so far tried the One Skillet Pork with Risotto and can confirm it surpassed my expectations for an easy, weeknight, one-pan meal. I am literally simmering the Creamy Parmesan Pumpkin Pasta as I type, so soon I can report whether it was one to add to the family recipe book.

Happy fall, and happy eating!
